Art Club

 

This club is involved in many different aspects of creating art.  Projects are often displayed in school hallways.

Chorus

 

Students are trained vocally and sing at school recitals and competitions.  This is a non-cut activity.  Students also have an opportunity to apply to audition for Regional chorus.

Computer Club

 

Students are involved in many different aspects of technology.  This includes learning new programs and maintaining the school portion of the district web page.

Cooking (1/2 year)

 

This program will allow students to have the opportunity to learn how to make a vareity of different foods.

Literary Art Journal

 

Students are invited to submit original short stories, poems, drawings, and other works for publication in the school journal.

Musical

 

Students perform in a musical performance.  Opportunities include acting, singing, stage, wardrobe, etc.  This is a non-cut activity.  Hours of commitment vary by the role assigned in the performance.

Newspaper

 

This club writes and publishes the school newspaper three times per year.  It provides the opportunity to write, proofread, and perform the functions associated with a newspaper.

Peer Tutoring

 

This club assigns students to assist other students who may need academic help. It also provides help to students who may need extra help.

Photography (1/2 year)

 

The students will be able to use a digital camera combined with their strong artistic vision to present their unique perspective by taking portraits of people, documenting a special event, or taking photographs that capture an unexpected angle.

Student Government Association, which is predominantly comprised of elected positions by peers. Student Council members also do a variety of community service projects.

The Technology Student Association fosters personal growth, leadership, and opportunities in technology, innovation, design, and engineering. Members apply and integrate science, technology, engineering and mathematics concepts through co-curricular activities

Yearbook

 

Students assist in the layout, photography, and distribution of the school yearbook.

Students will become environmental ambassadors where they will raise awareness of environmental issues and will be leaders in caring for our environment.

Peer Mentoring

 

This club assigns students to mentor those that would like to have an adviser to assist in the various above listed activities.  Mentors apply and are trained upon acceptance. They may also become involved in peer tutoring. Any students desiring to have a mentor need only to apply and will be matched with an available mentor where possible.
