Homework and Classwork

During a typical week of Language Arts our goal is to complete the following…

-Vocabulary Activities

- Daily Mini-lesson

-Read 20 minutes daily in an independent reading

book of your choice. (Parent approval suggested)

-Complete 2 short reading entries

-Complete 1 long reading entry

*Directions, expectations, and examples for reading entries will be explained in class and posted on Schoology.

Students will be given time to read and work on reading entries in class.

The classwork students don’t complete during class, needs to be completed as homework. Additionally, students should read 20 minutes every night, track his or her reading on the reading log, and track his or her thinking by writing two notes.
